John Lizzo is Vice President of Acquisitions at Newport Capital Partners, where he is responsible for acquisition strategy, sourcing, underwriting, and executing new investment opportunities.

John joined Newport in 2026 and brings eight years of institutional commercial real estate experience spanning acquisitions, asset management, and valuation. Prior to joining Newport, he was a Vice President at Starwood Capital Group responsible for retail acquisitions as well as retail and office asset management. Over his six years at Starwood, he managed approximately $2 billion of retail and office assets totaling more than 7.7 million square feet as well as actively sourced, underwrote and closed open-air retail acquisitions.

John started his career at Kelly Appraisal Consultants, where he completed valuation assignments exceeding $1 billion of commercial real estate including retail strip centers, industrial, multifamily, CBD & suburban office and vacant land.
